Cool fight, even though I'm not familiar with either fighters. Probably the first full fight I see of either of them. That last judge was pretty wack, and probably corrupt or a Canelo fanboy, but the Draw itself doesn't seem totally unfair to me, even though it felt like Golovkin was more in control in general.

The Nevada Boxing Commission needs to check the Judge's finances. If those reveal nothing, force her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. Regardless, they need to void the score and get someone not fucking incompetent to score it. If they give it to Canelo by a reasonable margin, the draw should stand. If not, then GGG should be awarded the win by a majority decision.
I personally scored the fight in favor of GGG though with Boxing's shit 10-9 scoring, a draw is somewhat defensible. If you evaluate the fight in its entirety and ignore round scoring, it was a clear but relatively close GGG win.

118-110 for Canelo is pretty insane judging.
I had it 116:114 for GGG but a draw is okay considering it was a close fight. GGG was more active while Canelo was boxing better. I wish both will take more chances in a rematch.

Initially I had GGG winning the majority of rounds, but after a rewatch, a draw could be possible.
Canelo landed more of the cleaner shots, whereas GGG was more aggressive and dominate across rounds.
Still, GGG walking into some of Canelo's punches reminded me of either Ippo or Sendo eating punches.
For this fight, which character's fighting style do you think are similar to GGG & Canelo?
I could see Canelo's style similar to Miyata
For GGG, its a bit tricky, but perhaps Alfredo Gonzalez?

I had GGG winning it 7 rounds to 5. Canelo did well when he landed but he was a bit too inactive in most of the rounds whereas GGG won the majority on activity alone.

The NSAC has informed that Canelo tested positive in his doping test.

The NSAC has informed that Canelo tested positive in his doping test. Failed it twice. That should but probably won't stop the rematch. Best case scenario would be for Canelo to get banned, GGG to sue him for breach of contract, then for it to come out during a deposition that Canelo bribed the dumb judge from the first fight and get that result overturned, a huge judgment against Canelo, and Canelo banned for life. I won't hold my breath on that though.

Rematch cancelled. If the contract doesn't specify damages, GGG needs to sue the cheating shit bag for all he's worth.

NSAC suspended Canelo for 6 months. I guess he'll be back in the ring by November or December.

Why in the hell would they let him take a deal for a 6-month suspension rather than throwing the book at the cheating sack of shit? Give him a 1-year suspension followed by an indefinite suspension until he admits that the tainted beef lines was bullshit.

Well, the NSAC has always given Chael Sonnen slaps on the wrist in spite on his history. They are really lax on popular figures.

According to some reporters from ESPN, Golden Boy Promotions has made both GGG and Canelo an offer to have their rematch in September.
