Yeah, I dunno, I think Julius is toast, here. It aint his fault, he's fighting like the top 5 of the verse after he just got a massive powerup.

Anyway if he wins he will find a fresh Gaolang afterwards, who will make short work of him, as he is even faster than Agito as far as we know.
But as with the Gaolang fight this is just a setup for their rematch.

Julius weakness is that all his massive strength is focused on strikes (with his philosophy being all "im the strongest so i don't need anything other than punching things" ), meaning to make use of it, Julius must hit his opponents. And with Agito formless stuff that makes him sliding along strikes like that leaf thing technique from Retsu in Baki Dou , it's just nullifying Julius only way to win. Maybe he should just try grabbing to work around his inability to hit Agito, as i imagine with his kind of strength it could lead into serious problems for Agito. But it may be too late by now and Julius seems to have too much pride to imagine doing something ressembling "technique" other than punching things to death. Possible that this fight will make Julius understand that punching is not everything, and he'll become even more dangerous when he'll accept that he can grab, throw, etc... too Maybe he'll start to bite people too, it worked for another character

And new chapter we get a bear hug as it seems Julius is improving along Agito pushing him so far . it was a good chapter. Looks like since the Connector showed the way to improve a couple of techniques, every Kengan fighters have been working to apply the method and get some of their strength refined and improved. Wonder how it will go with Kuroki using improved and refined techniques , he was already a monster before .

Julius already used a bear hug on Waka, back when they fought. He has no qualms about using more than just strikes.
It's... interesting how he's drawn closer to his actual height, this time. Like he's mega buff, but he's still human sized, in relative terms (Kanoh himself is pretty fucking tall). He definitely looks less ridiculously huge than back in Ashura, maybe closer to Oliva. I like it, and I can't wait to see what he tries next, I figure it's a 50/50 at this point.

Very hyped on that Rolon fight, i was worried for a second that the new guy going to fight him was going to get killed by the poser shithead out of the screen, but now after what happened, can't wait for that fight to start as that new guy has potential for a kengan bout

That was a very good fight between Rolon and that new character Ramon that ended with this chapter.
I hope it's not the last time we hear about Ramon though, his kind of craziness fits very well within Kengan and that's a monster too so very Kengan tournament - friendly candidate.

Oh some interesting match is coming, Kanoh vs Rolon
But for now we have Gaolang vs Justin, the "why ?" of this match up frankly puzzles me because judging from his previous match unless Justin gets a massive powerup there's no way he has any chance in hell, because from his previous performance it's obvious the guy is not at all at the level of a Gaolang or any of the other A-listers from the Kengan books.
Feels like Justin could have been some interesting match in a lower ranked tournament, but not on this A list one in a semi-final match.

"a wrestler trains his neck and that makes it a pretty good shock absorber" huh that's odd to read that, especially after the chapter is opening specifically with pointing that the manga trope "technique makes no difference, winning is about how much you want it" = bullshit . Because in this specific match up, Justin may have trained his neck as much as he could, even if he had some crazy Pickle-like neck structure, the problem here is that Gaolang punches can break rocks, meaning it will break the bones of a skull the same, and that Justin guy taking punches to the side of his face mean there's not even "neck absorber" entering into the equation. At least if he was trying to dodge to lower the punches impact, but no he just goes with "i'm going to tank his punches with my face" craziness should have been already the end of the match with his skull broken in several parts. At least the tackle tactic made some good sense.

That's a little unfair. First off, everybody's superhuman, in Kengan. Just because Justin isn't an A lister doesn't mean he can be compared to a realistic human. Next, sure, Gaolang's punches can break rocks, or at least his right straight can, but he's been kiting Justin for the beginning of the fight, using mostly his jab and not really setting up power punches. And yes, your neck muscles will prevent your head from moving no matter where the force comes from.
Look, it's fine, just enjoy the fight and stop worrying so much that Justin is doing good against a top tier when he's not using some secret martial arts and doesn't have an edgy vibe.
Personally, I'm really enjoying justin. He's got a lot of personality, he showcases some modern MMA techniques that were a great complement to the assassin secret fantasy arts during the KAT, with Okubo and Cosmo, and I just really like seeing a top Tier like Gaolang struggle against a type of fighter we've never seen him face. Honestly, I think he'll win, in the end, but I'm not sure how I feel about the finals. There's a good chance it's Kanoh vs Gaolang, and rematches are very difficult to write, and Sandro has been extremely hit and miss, lately, especially when it comes to making fresh content with established charcters. Part of me is more intrigued by Justin vs Kanoh. Of course, there's always the possibility that Rolon makes it to the finals.

It's fine to introduce new fighters, to me they're either hit or miss and when i feel they're miss i don't "enjoy the fight and stop worrying" I feel the other new fighter Ramon had much more potential to fit in that tournament.
Maybe i wouldn't have been so picky with those new guys if that was a tournament for B listers that had some top guys in it (like it happened with Saw Paing and Rihito) but for a A list tourney i would have 100% prefered to see another A lister in a match vs Gaolang, even if it was one that had been overlooked a lot since the last Kengan tourney (and there are plenty of them we haven't seen once since the last Kengan).

It's fine to introduce new fighters, to me they're either hit or miss and when i feel they're miss i don't "enjoy the fight and stop worrying" Nice cropping my post to distort the meaning, right there. Look, you're entitled to your opinion, it's fine, you don't need to twist my words to justify it. Plus Gaolang did end up beating the guy relatively easily, as expected, so what's the issue ? And it's not just here, a bunch of people on the reddit are just super weird about Justin.
Sure Ramon had a more edgy look, and a more edgy demeanor and... well he was basically just a shallow edgy vibe fighter with a slasher smile and a black hole instead of a personality. And his fight sucked despite Sandro trying to hype him up. He just name dropped Krava Maga to add to the edginess and then did nothing with it. Even Hiraku was loads more entertaining as a character and a fighter.
Now, I'll agree that this tournament is a weird timing to bring in new fighters who would clearly get stomped by the top third of the regular cast. Omega's writing has been pretty mid for a while, now, and Sandro's pretty incapable of maintaining actual stakes throughout entire arcs, despite occasional flashes of brilliance. The guy's just not a good writer in terms of putting together an overarching story and developping characters over time. And that's the problem with this tournament. It is, at its core, a straight up filler arc. Ohma and Shen, basically the two people who actually matter in the story at this point, aren't even here to comment. Kazzy's here, but he has no role to play. This is just Sandro dangling dream matches in the reader's face, but with no real ambition of actually delivering on any of them. How is any of these matches going to change the fighters ? Back in KAT, you had Gaolang vs Kanoh, awesome fight, Gaolang dug deep into his soul and ended up with a potentially career ending injury. Kanoh came in ready to beat the best striker in the world at his own game, evolved his entire striking during the fight, and got pushed so hard he came out humbled and changed for the rest of the tournament. What is the finals of this tournament going to do for either of them ? One of them is going to get more power creep, great. Another Kanoh vs Gaolang is going to be full of respect and high level exchanges, but how is it going to change our perception of those characters ? What is the point of this fight beyond fanservice ? I mean, if it's well executed, I'll enjoy it, but I wouldn't bet on it being memorable. And sure, it could be Rolon, instead of Kanoh. Rolon, the less interesting version of Kanoh.
So your issue is that we're getting non-A tier characters in this supposedly A-tier tournament, me, I'm happy we're at least getting one 3 dimentional character out of this filler arc.

Happening! Will there be a double KO and Gaolang will win by default but then he will get frustrated and pissed that he didn't get his rematch with Agito.

STAR is still going great, and wow at chapter 35 it really took me by surprise. I was rolling my eye with how ridiculously that specific fight went on ... i just had enough of shitty plot armor ... .. and then on the post match interactions everything made complete sense in the context of those underground organisations and the fakery for money. Well done author you really played me well on this one, it does not happen often in mangaworld so that show the author really got a knack for writing and nice to see we got some Kengan guest in chapter 36 , i wonder if we'll see some STAR in future Kengan chapter too then
