Well that was even more underwhelming than I imagined.

Anyone expecting anything else? Personnally i thought Baki would destroy Sukune in a few less seconds. But seriously, what the hell was Sukune thinking about when wanting to fight Baki and claiming he was going to flatten him in less than 10 seconds ? Didn't the way Baki spanked him previously wasn't a hint big enough ? didn't Sukune or the people living along with him saw on TV or heard or read his tremendous nearly otherworldly fight against his father, and didn't Sukune remembered how he himself was knocked out like nothing when he dared to face the Ogre ? Maybe the brain damage he took from Olivia's punch was stronger than he thought and removed his capacity of reasonning But i guess that's closing the "sumo is the best" story arc.

Yeah, guess that's it for Sukune. Awesome idea for a fighter, in my opinion, but he really fell flat, and Kehaya was even more underwhelming. That really wasn't much of a challenge for the regular cast, aside from Oliva's first loss. I mean if Itagaki wants to drawn some sumo, more power to him, but c'mon, it's like he changed his mind and got bored in the middle of the arc. Well, at least, I guess it didn't feel too slow. There were quite a few fights, and the upside of them being one-sided is they remained pretty short.
I'm not getting a sense Itagaki has that much interest in going anywhere, with Baki right now.

Well Itagaki changed his mind about musashi imaginary swords in the middle so, whatever.
Let's see where this takes us.

Using the "hands in his pockets" stance and neck twisting a la Jesus Date. I love how Baki implements all types of techniques to his style.
He took 9 seconds because he let Sukune come at him while leisurely strolling. He could probably have finished it earlier, but it was all part of the show.

it was all part of the show. He is a master at wrestling and spectacle as well.

Thoughts on the new chapter:
1.) Out of shame and embarrassment for the 9 second loss, Jack should be allowed to eat Sukune, the same way he ate a whole pig at a restaurant.
2.) After this measly match, we expect Jack vs. Baki 2, and we need it to be extreme, bloody, totally over-the-top, and at least 30 chapters long.
3.) Do you think there's some Sukune fans out there who believe he'll spring up again, full of fighting spirit, and somehow squeeze out a win against Baki?

Before match Sukune : all my losses were intentional as i planned to study them so they don't know the real me when i'll get serious.
After match Sukune : Baki knocked me out so fast when i got serious, but it's still part of the plan because they had then no time to learn about the real me.
