Well, last Sunday the third season came to an end. No word of a fourth season, a new movie, or anything similar, so it's fair to say we have seen the last of Twin Peaks.
But I would also like to discuss about the original series and "Fire Walk With Me".
So, any thoughts?

Thoughts about the show? I mean, there's too much to say, you could write whole essays on Twin Peaks, really. I don't know how to talk about the show in-depth without having tons of spoilers. I'm assuming most people on our board haven't seen it.
I'll just say that for anybody curious, the new season is totally worth your time, some of the episodes are outstanding television. The soundtrack, sound design, and the cast are incredibly compelling. If you appreciate surrealism, suspense, horror, or dark comedy/black humor, this is your show.
Lynch definitely captured the feeling of his old show, and gave it new life, too. I mean, yeah, on the downside, there's a good amount of filler with Dougie, but all the other story arcs surrounding him are extremely good. I hope there's another season - I don't see how they could end it where they did.

Alright, enough time has passed.
What do you make of season 3's long scenes? I know Lynch's rationale is essentially 'I thought it looked good, so that's why it is that long'. But the two scenes that stuck on my mind are: when the French lady Cole was flirting with takes forever to leave the room, and the guy sweeping at the Roadhouse until Renault talks about two underaged prostitutes.
