I have no idea about E. Honda. There are a couple cheap, easy answers I could give, but I would have little on which to base them.

I don't think they'll be hopeful enough to give him komusubi from one excellent tournament at M17 West. More likely an M1 or M2 position, I think.

He will be a coach in the Sakaigawa stable, and be renamed as Takekuma.

Maybe it's weird to be critical of a gag like that, but I think they could have sold it much better as self-parody. Maybe the Association would have frowned on that? But they let wrestlers parody the sport for shokkiri...

I have to wonder what kind of security they'll be willing to shell out for, though. That is to say: how hard would it be for me to sneak into the arena and to get into the camera's line of sight?
The comedic possibilities/prospects of this closed-doors-but-televised basho are endless.
