And he deserves it. It's hard to say enough about how strange this all feels, though. Did Yoshikaze's winning today really feel like a victory? You know? This whole basho feels like that moment stretched into 15 days.
Oh, and Kounosuke was excellent today for the first time in a little while. That was a lovely surprise.

Tochinoshin looked so goddamn masculine with the blood in his eye on Day 4. And Kise vs Kaisei! That was ridiculous. Kise's struggling to make it back, but he's sure as hell succeeding at that struggle.

Saw Mitakeumi vs. Tochinoshin a couple of hours ago. Mita-chan is on fire.
Do you think Hakuho has been fighting (not today) more aggressively?

What's happened to Ishiura? It's like he's lost his spark and gained some weight in its stead; I don't know.
Tochinoshin vs Kakuryuu: That's *exactly* what I wanted to see. It gets even sweeter in the slo-mos.
Hakuhou vs Takayasu was complete crap - and it wasn't the fault of either one of them. It's the gyoji's job to stop that crap.

Presented in memory of Satou Takahiro:
Hakuhou's autograph and handprint.
Mangaka, seiyuu, actors, television stars, relatives and so on made pieces of art honouring/commemorating his life and his life's work. Those who could not draw followed Hakuhou's example. For the sake of brevity, here's just Itagaki's piece.
