I have mixed feelings about the result. On one hand, I am glad to see Kakuryuu get a yuushou for once. On the other, I hate that Hakuhou is seemingly weakened. It doesn't worry me as much as it worries others, but I do hope that he can get in some powerful training and recovery in the next two months. It seemed that his left arm was still bothering him throughout the basho; that notion was most distinctly highlighted in this final match.
Come to think of it - didn't he forego surgery on the arm right after he last withdrew?

Does anybody know if NHK World broadcasts sumo?

From what I recall, they only air makuuchi. I don't know if they broadcast live.

I was shocked to see that. I don't know what's going on with their world anymore. All I know is that Takanohana probably had/has the answers to a lot of the public's most pressing questions.

I don't know why, but I don't want Takakeishou to win.

If it happens, I'll laugh until tears pour out of my burning eyes.

Izutsu Oyakata, Kakuryu's stablemaster, has passed away.

I’ve lived in Japan for the last 10 years and not once I’ve bothered watching sumo though I have been interested in a casual level.
