This is not a huge forum and I mostly ghost it these days, but thought in the current climate with lockdown and quarantines it would be nice to know how everyone is. Here in the UK there is some flexibility to move around but we are staying mostly at home (wife and 2 kids) and figures are starting to get scary. What are you doing to keep your sanity? I am mostly child caring and exercising at home so have hardly any time for hobbies or work (which is another source of stress.)
I hope you are all well 👍

At my place in Germany there is no quarantine at all.... fine restaurants are closed, but u can takeout. Only limitation in real life is u can only walk in public by groups of 2 and gyms are closed. But yeah, somehow it all became normality. Most people even go to work as they used to. But I guess things are far more complicated if u have children....

I'm in California, and we're on lockdown. You can get takeout food, or go to the grocery store, but masks/gloves are required, and social distancing is required. I work from home 100% of the time, and have for 4+ weeks. Don't get to post as much as I'd like, I do apologize that I'm not as active.
No children, so that makes things way easier. Can't imagine having to home school a child, plus work full-time - sounds impossible.
It has been a good opportunity to catch up on video games and TV shows, though. Tiger King is as good as the hype. I re-watched Dragon Ball Super and it owned. One thing I really miss, my girlfriend is (was) in a band, and we'd go to gigs almost every weekend. She'd play with them at bars, restaurants, etc. All that is shut down completely, but of course I understand why. It's a first world problem, for sure. It was our social life, though, so that's been a big adjustment. My sympathy goes out to anyone who is unemployed/job-seeking, or has been laid off due to COVID-19. That's very hard. I've been there, too. Looking for a job is not fun.

I have a German friend who told me that he and another friend were having a picnic in a park - but they had to leave out of fear of being fined by the police, because passersby were coming over to sit and talk with them. The world is strange. I'm in California, and we're on lockdown. You can get takeout food, or go to the grocery store, but masks/gloves are required, and social distancing is required. My circumstances are, of course, pretty much identical to yours.

Thankfully, I'm working from home. My pay from one of my jobs is $1,000 less than usual, but the stimulus makes it up.
