So basically everyone has shown up to watch Pickle get lol executed? What is Musashi getting out of this? I'm truly lost on the direction Dou is going in now. The majority of it coulda been a Musashi Gaiden spin off. I need to see Baki put in some serious work soon. Feels like my favorite manga has jumped the shark. Scratch that, it jumped the shark with Pickle but now its getting a bit ridiculous with all the Motobe is S tier Jack is a fighting retard nonsense. Please Itagaki deliver the goods.....

Are we gonna get one bisected caveman ? Guess so.
I, for one am not particularly shocked by how things turned out with Baki Dou. I never found the Baki series was ever coherent. Things have been contradicting themselves forever. So now, Musashi is wrecking everyone and Motobe steals the show. Whatever, it's not like I'm really attached to Baki being the main character anyway. It's all about the fights, who cares about the rest. That series was never story or character driven, so topling all that doesn't strike me as unacceptable.

Primary problem with the raws is that I post my basic translations on 4chan. Those of you who don't go there don't end up with the text, and don't get some important info. For the sake of conciseness, I'll link you the archived threads for 115 and 116. There's info in there that's relevant to the questions I'm seeing asked. I swear incessantly on 4chan, so keep children and small animals at a safe distance. 115: desuarchive.org/a/thread/143524478/#143524478116: boards.4chan.org/a/thread/143813007#p143819182That second one won't last long, but the external archive hasn't logged it for some reason, so I can't link it from there as-of-now. Long and the short of it is: Pickle's fine; Musashi's in more danger than ever before (sans his match against Yuujiro). Beyond that: I didn't notice that crack at *all* until you pointed it out Danny, nice catch! I thought it was a strand of Pickle's hair when I first read it - and again, when I went back to check for cracks on the first look, after reading your post. Beyond the beyond that: I realized that nobody posted this here. Come on, guys! www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2016-07-04/baki-martial-arts-manga-launches-new-anime/.103952Get hype; there's good stuff ahead. Addendum: volume 12 raws are out. I've updated the mega accordingly.

Musashi's sword can be seen cracking in the last page though, so I don't think we'll get to see If you're talking the tiny little crack in the sword in Pickle's mouth, I think that's actually the end of Pickle's hair strand. I could be wrong, but it's pretty coincidentally placed. To be fair, I'd be surprised if Pickle was cut in two just now, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was the enventual outcome of the fight.

I think this chapter is the most stupid thing I have ever seen. And I fucking love it. Also gotta comment, what' happened on the last releases of Grappler and Tough? The typography looked... pixelated, but I've never seen that from Spiny.

I couldn't figure out the problem until after we published; it shouldn't look like that again. I showed him how to fix it.

IT'S JUST MY NATURE, DANNY! I CAN'T HELP IT, SOMEBODY GIVES ME AN ANGLE, I PLAY IT. I DON'T DESERVE TO DIE FOR THAT. DO YOU THINK I DO? I'M BEGGING YOU, I CAN'T DIE! I CAN'T DIE OUT HERE IN THE WOODS!

Awesome chapter, I wasn't expecting that at all. As chilling as the panel of pickle grasping the katana is, I think he breaks the shit out of it pretty quickly next chapter. I think itagaki is subverting expectations once again of which is better, the sword or the fist. Pickle Musashi hand to hand slugfest incoming hopefully.

Hm, Pickle waving a sword around sounds hilarious. But, why is Musashi still using a sword actually ? He completed his ultimate technque against Yujiro and is apparently able to cut stuff with his bare hands now, so did he forget he could do that ?

Hm, Pickle waving a sword around sounds hilarious. But, why is Musashi still using a sword actually ? He completed his ultimate technque against Yujiro and is apparently able to cut stuff with his bare hands now, so did he forget he could do that ? He's packing the sword simply because it's his beloved sword. He may have his completed Niten Ichiryuu *now*, but he didn't have it for most of his life; it's like how old people today don't really bother with smart phones, despite them being 'more convenient'. The man just likes his swords. Musashi makes a pretty formal request to Tokugawa to retrieve his Kaneshige sword so that he can show everyone its amazingly rare sharpness. After Tokugawa delivers it to him, Musashi starts talking to the sword like it's a person. So... yeah. But consider these points: Musashi would not have bothered to use/try the swordless form of Niten Ichiryuu if Yuujiro had not pushed him past the limits of what he could do with Tokugawa's swords. That is the thematic purpose of the groin-kick: its being enough to make even a pure swordsman like Musashi relinquish his blades from the pain delineates where and when he would need to use his hands. Musashi has no need to use it unless he's fighting somebody at or near Yuujiro's strength. This following basic info is in the text of chapters that we haven't finished yet: Musashi doesn't exactly consider Pickle to be a real threat (or even a valid 'opponent', actually) and calls him an "unpolished fighter". The lab fight makes him think that Pickle has the mind of a child; as the latter doesn't seem to quite understand what's happening. When Tokugawa tells Musashi that Pickle can/will eat him a few days later, Musashi laughs uncontrollably because he still doesn't 'get' why Pickle is being treated as such a big deal. So, going into this fight, Musashi has yet to be given a reason to *not* use his sword. He's more comfortable with it and he deeply enjoys using it, so it's essentially *the* practical first choice. Now that Pickle has hit him hard and taken his "beloved sword" away, he's quite likely to start using his hands. Above all, remember that this is a shounen: nobody ever uses their full strength at first, ever.

I really hope picke picked the sword just to give it back to Musashi, so he can fight back adequately, as picke love the challenge and it's been a long time since he "earned" his food with a good combat.

Oh, ok, that kind of makes sense. I didn't know his sword was actually the sword he used that Tokugawa went to get, I really wasn't sure what the deal was with that sword Musashi was offered all of a sudden and that he seemed to like for some reason.
