It will probably amount to something, Vegeta isn’t going to get ultra instinct so he needs something else. Hard to say, since the manga and anime depict things so differently. My best guess is Vegeta figures out a way to stop Moro from stealing his Ki. His training seems to be about spirit control/manipulation.

If the Volume was published in 1991 we can assume the WSJ chapter was on 1990, also the Kamehameha on Cell in the Japanese release of the anime was probably arround 1992/3. Edit: My mistake, you likned directly the chapter, not he volume, so it was in 1991. |

Wonder if Goku will be forced to use Hakai on Moro in the end to devilitate him, enough so Buu can do his magic, I'm getting a lot of Frieza fight callbacks right now, the lava setting and the "I don't want to kill you" attitude, but I seriously hope Toriyama and Toyotaro give this arc a twist.
Also the Ultra Instnct punch on moro I feel is the first memorable Toyotaro panel in the whole series so far.

I'm sad it wasn't a combo of Vegeta debiltiating Moro, whjile Goku kept him in check and Buu with the power of the kaioshing sealing moro, oh well.

Vegeta got to give a genki dama to Goku, how that's for character progression? The Bad Man used to be the one getting nailed by that attack (on earth even). Now he's channeling ki to help save the universe.

I'm not fond of Goku using Sunanoo, and that's not chatracter progression for Vegeta, or not a new point about him, but the culminnation of what he had already reached that point by the end of the Buu arc, by asking all the people one earth to lend their power to Goku, and as far as I understood, this wasnt genki per-se, just ki, same as when they attempted the god transformation the first time.
