I'm not sure if anyone here is watching the anime or not but I thought maybe I could make a thread about it. The show (and the story) has its flaws but I think it worths a watch. (The animation is terrible in the beginning but it gets better.) The 70th episode comes out this weekend and hopefully the next arc will start next week.
What's your opinion about it? Is anyone watching it or am I alone?

I'm reading the accompanying manga, but I am following the plot of the anime. Its not bad, and I actually like it more than the cell saga of DBZ. I want another tournament, lol.

the last arc was decent everything before that wasnt really worth watching the universe 6 arc could have been amazing but it was a real let down for me. and the animation has been decent since the start of the goku black stuff. keen for the new arc hopefully they can keep getting better because if they go back to what there were before super is going to be worst the GT

There's a YouTuber named lezbeepic who creates these hilarious/awesome dubstep mixes from famous scenes of DBZ and Super. I thought this one in particular was very good: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES2tKIGfNAo

Yep, the special was pretty much amazing. Best fight since Cell vs SSJ2 Gohan, way back in the day. Recaptured that old DBZ goodness.
I also liked the Zamasu arc, too. He's been the best villain of Super. What a shame they couldn't invite Future Trunks to the Tournament of Power, he'd have cleaned up half the Universes in an episode or two. That man has seen some shit and does not fool around.

The entire original timeline of Dragon Ball pretty much got nuked into oblivion by Zeno. Nothing is left anymore. I know some people did that kinda dark shit, but I don't. Dragon Ball has never been about that for me. My other big issue with Super is the blatant fanservice over substance, with Kale aka "Female Broly" being the perfect example. I find Super quite entertaining a lot of the time, and I don't hate it like a lot of people do, but there's no denying that the whole show is just a giant toy commercial for Toei.

I agree. What I don't understand why he had to go to another time-line. Both time-line had another him, the only difference there was that here he had friends who actually know him...

Memory very fuzzy here but wasn't Future Trunks' timeline erased by Zen Oh? He and Mai migrated to another future accepting there would be another Trunks and Mai instead. Or am I mixing it with the manga take on the issue? The time travel shenanigans were not particularly easy to follow, at least if you stop to think and try to make sense of them...

You remember correctly, that's what happened in the anime. But why did he went to (another) future? They could have stayed in the present, here at least they had friends, also why bother another time-line when this is totally okay with them. [Well, the reason probably is that Toriyama didn't want to bother with them, just like how he doesn't bother with Buu...]

The manga was giving some explanation regarding that (I don't remember the details, but in general the manga tried to make sense of a few things unexplained, like returning to the same exact time period every time they escaped from the future rather than travelling before Zamasu realized his plan and such.) It might not have been allowed by Beerus, as having unauthorised time travellers in his universe could have got the High Priest or Zen Oh reasonably peeved.

But they had a second Zeno from the exact time line, why would they care about Trunks? (This is just a rhetorical question.) Anyway, Future Trunks would have been a nice addition to the team.

Bulma's voice actor was found unresponsive in a car off the side of the Inner Circular Route in Tokyo. Her seatbelt was still buckled. She was rushed to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Just found out. It is really sad, indeed. Apart from bulma, Hiromi Tsuru also played Reiko Mikami, one of my favourite female protagonists in Manga.
