Well his base is still karate. I seriously doubt he learned the entire Niko style, but he probably gleaned elements from all the guys he trained with.

Koga is like Kenichi but badly written.

I think too that Koga has been trying to master some specific moves that he thinks he really needs instead of mastering a full martial art, because sure he's supposed to be some "prodigy" thingy but still it would be nonsense to only need a couple of years to master several martial arts.

I have trained a lot of years of martial arts and it's true that the more you know, the easier is to pick upo speed in new fields, as the body can only move in certain ways efficiently tehy all tend to repeat a lot of stuff, but it's not like we are talking real martial arts here so this logic might not apply here.

For martial arts that are close to each other (as a lot of them have techniques based on variation of punches and kicks) training into multiple ones would be indeed easy as the transition would be more about becoming familiar with the different set of rules than having to change your body trained "instincts" But when art martials are about very different type of techniques , and so develop different type of muscles in your body, that's a different matter, switching from having spent 10 years in karate to judo would certainly not be easy when it comes to master the techniques, as the body after years of karate wouldn't be build the judo-friendly way. Anyways, new chapter , i wonder what kind of Niko style bullshit Koga will use to escape that "perfected choke hold", unless he's going for a Saw Paing ground headbutt (as Cosmo had Saw Paing in a choke hold too) from the back

I hope Koga uses something else that is not the advance, like getting up and jumping backwards into the floor or whatever.

I'd be surprised if it was the advance. Ohma nearly died from using the advance and saw a man explode from using it too much. Not to mention I'm not even sure he can teach it, considering that while he's mastered it, it was enforced on him, not precisely taught.
But yeah, I hope it's not the advance too.

New chapter. Disapointed as frankly i would have really prefered that Koga would do something crazy dangerous for himself but semi-believable like Saw Paing would have done to find a way to deal with the unescapable hold instead of suddenly having Hanayama-level of grip power he never had before because of magic bullshit niko style.

That did seem a bit cheap, yeah. On the other hand, the nice thing is it fleshes out a little how the iron breaker technique works. The problem is the implications make it a problem as that seems really OP in grappling.

I'm actyually OK with this, I think it's really cool to take an existing technique that all the readers already know and give it another use without modifying it, good thinking there.
It's not so different than Kuroki using the finger lance to break out of the holds as well, so all is good in my book.

new chapter, man that Connector for being some near godly legendary individual sure seems to be really disconnected with everything. Nearly gave himself away when Yamashita asked him his name next fight starts next chapter, i just hope Adam will beat Ruyki just to break the too predictable tourney chain.

Ryuki cannot go way too overboard, even if he "wins" he takes the risk of being disqualified.

New chapter, we learn a bit about the possible reason why the Connector and the worm were already around when Metsudo was young. And the fight just starts between Adam and Ryuki, can't wait to see next chapter hoping it will be good.
Unrelated, but after moving from Firefox to Brave browser (a chromium based one) for various good reasons, i noticed that this forum, every pages of it, were unbelievably slow to load in comparison to when i was browsing through Firefox. I noticed the reason : scripts.
In Firefox i had ublock origin + noscript enabled nearly all the time and very few scripts were allowed (and none on proboards). But in Brave i only had ublock origin (on top of the already good adblocking abilities of Brave in comparison to Firefox) , but forgot that adblocking didn't replace script blocking. Fortunately Brave has a script blocker built in , so after simply disabling script for this forum, it went back to being as fast as it was in Firefox. I have no idea who the admin is here, or if he has any control of its scripts (or if it's all proboards), but those terribly bad slow performance scripts should really be looked at, unless the forum is just left to die like a lot did before it.

Huh, weird. I mean, I have admin rights, now, but I'm super clueless when it comes to that sort of stuff.

I googled a bit and noticed the proboard support forum is also rather slow. Spotted this report from a week ago support.proboards.com/thread/671953/slowness-forumBut it seems the problems was on proboard servers, so i don't think an admin of a proboard hosted forum can do anything unfortunately it's very likely something that only the company owning the servers can do.
